Regenerative medicine is seeing a shift toward cell-free biologics that deliver without the complexity of live cell therapies. If you still rely on traditional approaches, you may be missing one of the most biologically active and scalable components available today.
Leo Corps, Inc. and its subsidiary Novoxa have released new information that examines Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) derived from umbilical cord platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and why they are gaining traction across therapeutic and research applications. These vesicles carry the full bioactive payload of cord PRP, including proteins, lipids, RNA, and growth factors, while their lipid bilayer protects and transports this cargo throughout the body. EV mobility allows them to penetrate dermal and mucosal layers and even cross the blood-brain barrier, enabling targeted delivery and systemic signaling.
Stem Cells Get the Headlines, but EVs Deliver Results for your Business:
• EVs support angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory signaling, tissue remodeling, and wound healing
• They enable applications across orthopedics, neurology, dermatology, immunology, and drug delivery research
• EVs scale efficiently from a single PRP harvest for commercial or research use
• EVs are ethically sourced from cord blood that is otherwise discarded and screened to FDA and AATB standards

With decades of experience in biologics and biospecimen laboratory management, Leo Corps, Inc. and its subsidiary Novoxa have been the leaders behind ExCyte™, a highly purified and concentrated extracellular vesicle solution designed for regenerative medicine and biomedical research. Since its introduction, ExCyte has become a widely used biologics solution that is now the industry-leading biologic for tissue repair, cellular communication, and therapeutic development. The Cord PRP-Derived EVs have been developed with strict quality oversight and are ISO 9001 certified to ensure consistent quality and traceability. Compare ExCyte versus the leading biologics solution:

The area of regenerative medicine has evolved and EV-based therapies are now viewed as a powerful complement to existing regenerative solutions. Read the Regenerative Medicine Update below and explore how the right Cord PRP-Derived EVs can strengthen your product line:

REGENERATIVE MEDICINE UPDATE
Leo Corps, Inc. Addresses Emerging Role of Umbilical Cord PRP–Derived
Extracellular Vesicles as Regenerative Therapeutic and Research Platform
ALISO VIEJO, CA & LAS VEGAS, NV — March 3, 2026 — Leo Corps, Inc., a cellular and molecular biomedical research material manufacturer and distributor, today highlighted an informational brief on the therapeutic potential of umbilical cord PRP-derived extracellular vesicles, also known as exosomes. Titled “What Makes Umbilical Cord PRP-driven extracellular vesicles/exosomes so Unique and Valuable when it comes to Research and Clinical Applications,” the publication discusses how extracellular vesicles are derived from umbilical cord platelet rich plasma (PRP) and contain the therapeutic payload found in umbilical cord PRP, while also exhibiting biological mobility and the ability to penetrate tissues and bodily barriers to deliver this payload.
Unlike cord blood cells, EVs can penetrate the dermal, mucosal, and even the blood-brain barrier, allowing them to reach nearly every tissue in the body. Their inherent structure also protects their contents during transport and can allow for functional modification of the surface to target specific receptors or carry customized payloads. Much like PRP, EVs have been shown to contain numerous proteins, lipids, and nucleic-acids which allow them to reduce inflammation, support angiogenesis, mediate tissue remodeling and wound healing, stimulate cell proliferation and growth, and control tissue physiology through paracrine signaling. Leo Corps believes EVs can be applied to many of the same indications as its current umbilical cord cellular offerings including orthopedics, neurology, dermatology, and immunology.
Leocorps reports a number of factors that make umbilical cord PRP-derived EVs attractive for regenerative medicine applications. Compared to their adult counterparts, umbilical cord blood is naturally rich in a number of different growth factors and immune mediators that promote fetal development. Since banks often discard umbilical cord blood product following therapeutic applications, there is also less concern over product availability or ethical implications of using human blood products. Additionally, PRP is created by spinning down the cord blood so EVs can be expanded from a single donation to support large manufacturing volumes or research studies.
Umbilical cord blood is a rich source of nucleated cells that can be processed and fractionated into individual cell populations for use in regenerative medicine, clinical development, and other applications. Through Leo Corps’ interactive web portal, organizations can order native cell fractions or fully characterized/qualified cell products that have been screened for cell viability, phenotype, function, purity, and concentration. Umbilical cord blood offers access to immune cells like lymphocytes, monocytes, dendritic cells, and more. In addition, cells harvested from umbilical cord matrix contain mesenchymal stem cells, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and supportive growth factors and immune cells. As with cord blood-derived PRP, these cells and their associated growth factors allow researchers to apply these cell products to regenerative and immune modulatory applications. Each donor is screened in accordance with FDA and American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) guidelines for human tissue. Leo Corps also works with parent institutions to better characterize these cells to help researchers and manufacturers meet their product quality needs.
“As we continue to learn more about regenerative medicine, we’re seeing the benefits of acellular therapies like extracellular vesicles,” said Leo Corps, Inc. CEO (Name). “These nanostructures allow for the targeting of treatment areas with greater efficiency, while reducing risks associated with cell or platelet therapies.”
